1) Fill out the application Online

2) Mail SIU the required documents:

• Transcripts from high school (ONLY if you have taken less than 26 credits at another college/university)
• Transcripts from college ALL colleges attended
• Financial Statement (within the last 6 months)
• Photocopy of first two pages of passport
• Proof of English proficiency by ONE of the following methods:
  • TOEFL IBT - 61
  • IELTS - 5.5
  • TOEFL PBT - 500

After you submit the online application you will be contacted by the admission officer. Inform him that you are applying as an exchange student and how many semesters you plan to study at SIU (1 or 2).

SIU DOES NOT ACCEPT OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS VIA EMAIL

Have scores sent by TOEFL test center to SIU code 1726

*NOTE: SIU does not have an official application deadline (for most majors) for international students, however, students should allow enough time for visa documents to be processed (minimum 2 months)
