Conditional Admission | Center for International Education | SIU

1) Fill out the undergraduate application for admission: (for the next semester)

• Online: Apply as an undergraduate student through the Undergraduate Admissions website

2) Mail SIU the required documents:

• Online Application should be submitted online.
• Transcripts from high school (ONLY if you have taken less than 26 credits at another college/university)
• Transcripts from ALL colleges attended
• Financial Statement (within the last 6 months)
• Photocopy of first two pages of passport

3) Please inform the CIE admission advisor if you are currently enrolled at the Center for English as a Second language at the time that you are applying for SIU.

If you are granted Conditional Admission to SIU, you are automatically admitted to the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) to study intensive English. You do not need to submit a separate application to CESL. You will need to arrive for the CESL Registration on the date listed on your Conditional Admission letter. All other CESL information can be obtained on the CESL website.
